FAQs

The following are some commonly asked questions about our dental services in Comox Valley:

How Can I Adopt Good Dental Care Practices at Home?
Caring for your teeth with a dental care routine is crucial for maintaining your dental health and effectively preventing dental problems. Some ways that you can practice healthy dental practices at home are:

  • Regularly brushing and flossing your teeth
  • Reducing your sugar intake
  • Eating a well-rounded diet
  • Attending to any dental problems immediately

How Can I Make My Teeth Whiter?

Good oral hygiene, which involves routine brushing and flossing, can help you maintain a healthy and bright smile. Most importantly, you can visit us for a more permanent solution for professional teeth whitening solutions. We can whiten your teeth with services such as in-office whitening, at-home dental kits, and veneers for permanently discoloured teeth.

Why Is Flossing Important?

Many people believe that solely brushing their teeth is enough. However, they don't know that millions of bacteria live off of the food particles in your teeth. These bacteria make their homes inside plaque in your teeth. While brushing removes some of the bacteria, it is flossing that removes them from hard-to-reach places. The plaque remains stuck between your teeth and eventually turns to tartar without flossing, which requires professional removal.

Should I Consider Dental Implants?

There is no standard cosmetic procedure that works for everyone. We need to inspect your teeth for us to determine whether you're an ideal candidate for dental implants. While dental implants are a permanent solution to tooth loss, their installation does require some amount of healthy bone and tissue.

Friendly and Professional

“Every time I've been to the office, I've been met with friendly and professional staff. I had IV sedation with Dr. Luksay and everything went smoothly. Dr. Luksay followed up with me the next day to make sure everything was okay. I then came back for a bite adjustment at no charge. Thank you for your great work and professionalism.”
